Dr. Jorge Minor, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Jorge Minor, MD, is the Medical Director of LA Pain & Wellness Institute. Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, and Interventional Pain Medicine, he also has specialized expertise in neuromuscular medicine, industrial medicine, and medico-legal evaluation. With more than 35 years of clinical experience, Dr. Minor provides comprehensive, physician-led care for patients with complex musculoskeletal, occupational, and pain-related conditions.

Dr. Minor specializes in the evaluation, treatment, and coordination of care for catastrophic musculoskeletal injuries, occupational injuries, chronic pain syndromes, post-operative pain, and complex functional impairment. His experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings enables him to guide patients throughout the continuum of recovery, from acute injury and post-surgical rehabilitation to long-term pain management, functional restoration, and return-to-work planning.

LA Pain & Wellness Institute serves patients within the workers' compensation, personal injury, industrial medicine, and medico-legal systems. Dr. Minor's diagnostic approach incorporates electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and fluoroscopically guided pain interventions when clinically indicated. He combines these tools with a careful review of objective medical evidence to develop individualized treatment recommendations that address each patient's condition, functional limitations, and case-specific needs.

Dr. Minor is committed to documentation that is clear, thorough, and medically defensible. His reports support effective communication among treating physicians, employers, claims professionals, attorneys, and other stakeholders, while keeping the patient's clinical needs and functional recovery at the center of care.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Minor has performed Qualified Medical Evaluations in California and Independent Medical Evaluations in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. He has extensive experience evaluating causation, apportionment, impairment, work capacity, activities of daily living, future medical needs, and the relationship between injury, treatment, and functional limitations.

Each treatment plan is evidence-based and tailored to the individual's medical needs, functional goals, return-to-work considerations, and overall recovery trajectory. When appropriate, Dr. Minor coordinates care with physicians and surgeons, therapists, primary care clinicians, behavioral-health professionals, and other specialists to ensure an organized, patient-centered plan of care.

At LA Pain & Wellness Institute, every patient receives direct physician oversight. Dr. Minor personally leads each evaluation, develops and reviews every treatment plan, and oversees the clinical documentation process from start to finish.
