About the Role

LA Pain & Wellness Institute is seeking a Virtual HR Supervisor to oversee human resources operations for our Los Angeles-based medical practice. This is a remote, full-time role supporting day-to-day HR functions, staff coordination, compliance, and policy management across the organization.

You will work closely with practice leadership to support a professional and compliant work environment, ensure proper onboarding and offboarding procedures, and help the team operate smoothly as the practice grows.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation compliance
• Support practice leadership on staffing needs, performance management, and policies
• Ensure compliance with California employment law and healthcare-specific HR requirements
• Coordinate benefits administration and employee communications
• Identify process improvements that support a better work environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a healthcare or medical practice setting
• Strong knowledge of California employment law
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a remote role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
